Heads-up: Scribd's Facebook alliance
It appears that there's yet another reason to avoid using Scribd's
( http://www.scribd.com ) services. Their klutzy interfaces and
gimmicks have long been an annoyance, but it seems that they've forged
a deep alliance with Facebook, to the extent that they're now pushing
Facebook logins for Scribd service access even in preference to their
own native logins.
It doesn't take a lot of imagination to guess why they've done this.
My suggestion: Don't store documents or other media with Scribd.
Period.
