Nancy Pelosi defends doctored picture of House Democratic women
http://j.mp/WiL1Ma (Constra Costa Times)
"House minority leader Nancy Pelosi on Friday defended an altered
picture of Democratic congresswomen that was posted on her Flickr
photo-sharing site. The photo showed four House members who were not
in the original picture, which was taken Thursday when lawmakers were
sworn in as members of the 113th Congress. They arrived at the Capitol
steps late, and their images were inserted with a computer program."

The problem here is lack of transparency by not proactively noting
that the released photo had been Photoshopped to add individuals who
were not actually present for the original shot. This simply feeds
into ongoing concerns and conspiracy theories regarding photo
modifications by governments and others. Basically a really
ham-fisted and tone-deaf move, and Pelosi's explanation suggests that
she does not understand this, even now.
