Facebook risks passing the "creepy" line by matching offline and
online user data

http://j.mp/Qtllhv (City A.M.)

"Facebook confirmed yesterday it is working with the US data p"rovider
Datalogix to measure how many people who view ads on the social
networking site then go on to buy that product in a store."

 - - -

Matching of online with offline user data without the affirmative
permission of the parties involved can very rapidly pass over the
creepy line. Orange Alert.
