Mitt Romney calls people concerned about his taxes "small-minded"
Continuing to assert that his personal privacy is more important than
the right of the American people to understand his complex
international financial dealings, Mitt Romney continues to refuse to
release more of his tax returns, even while having demanded more years
of tax returns from his VP running mate.
Obviously Romney feels it's important for *him* to understand Ryan's
finances, but not for us to understand the finances of the man at the
top of the ticket. Meanwhile, Romney now asserts that he never paid
less than 13% (great rate if you can get it!) over the last 10 years.
For some reason, he then felt it necessary to again mention his 10%
(presumably mostly his tithe to the church) charitable giving --
which of course is utterly irrelevant except that it's another tax
deduction for him along with his deluxe 13% tax rate base.
Romney is obviously upset that people want to know as much about him
as he wants to know about Paul Ryan, and Romney declared the interest
in his own taxes to be "small-minded." You know, from those annoying
"little people" of the unwashed masses.
We feel for you Mitt. Gosh, what a tough life.
