Dave, et al.,
As noted below, the TOS is very clear that IP rights reside in the owner
for uploaded content. The usage wording is there so that it's clear
you have given permission to Google to do what you ask them to do with
your data (including potentially share, post, process, translate, OCR,
etc.)
As always, when reading any contract, software agreement, TOS, or return
terms on the back of a Best Buy receipt, you need to read these
instruments in their *totality*, not in terms of isolated clauses
taken out of context.
