Implications of Microsoft's WGA Breakdown
http://lauren.vortex.com/archive/000276.html
Greetings. For those of us who have long been concerned about
Microsoft's increasingly aggressive use of anti-piracy technologies,
the new problems with WGA (which have reportedly now been fixed, but
some customers will have to jump through a few hoops to clean up the
resulting mess on their systems) should be yet another big, waving,
red flag.
There will no doubt be much more to say when additional details are
known, but this is an *extremely* important issue that cuts to the
heart of intrusive anti-piracy and DRM technologies.
