I often note that "what's public is public" - that is, don't be
surprised when anyone sees your public materials. But what you have
decided should not be public -- e.g. restricted to family and 
friends -- should be subject to reasonable protections from access 
demands by other parties. The situations described in this article 
strike me as quite egregious and represent a very dangerous trend.
