"So Target got sneakier about sending the coupons. The company can
create personalized booklets; instead of sending people with high
pregnancy scores books o' coupons solely for diapers, rattles,
strollers, and the "Go the F*** to Bed" book, they more subtly spread

It's one thing to target people based on their toilet paper brand
choices, or tendency to buy stationary supplies. But when you start
to push into highly personal, sensitive areas without asking
permission first (in some reasonable manner), you are risking serious
and potentially very damaging backlash. And trying to play the same
game on the sly is no solution.
