Time to cage the AI firms and their CEOs before they ruin society
The big AI firms know that invisible watermarks alone do NOT in the
least protect most people from misinformation, because most people
cannot be expected to run every text or image they see through various
tools looking for invisible watermarks. While such tools may have
applicability in formal contexts like education, courts, journals, and
the like, they are effectively meaningless when it comes to stemming
the massive flow of hideously dangerous misinformation and deepfakes
that these firms are purposely pushing onto the public. Yet another
reason these firms and their CEOs need to be caged before they
completely ruin society with their horrific garbage designed to enrich
themselves at the expense of the public. -L
