The enormous peril of supporting data centers

Politically, data centers are rapidly becoming more toxic than
virtually any other aspect of society. Not only are they associated
with AI services that most people don't want, and are accused of
spreading rampant misinformation, enabling vast new scams,
contributing to suicides and murders and basically being a scourge
that nobody except the fascist Big Tech Billionaires asked for, but
their physical impact on communities -- in terms of water usage,
boosted energy costs, noise, pollution, destroyed homes, ruining rural
areas and so much more, is making them as hated by every age group and
every political demographic as child sex abusers. Politicians had
better wake up to this fact. They continue to support these projects
at enormous peril. -L
