Go to hell, Waymo: Why Waymo f*cked up in SF
My reading of their statement says that indeed it was traffic lights
being out that caused the problems. Surprise - in some cases it appears
that when Waymo vehicles hit dark traffic lights they require human
confirmation from Waymo Master Control to decide how to proceed. They
were overwhelmed on Saturday. And it sounds like Waymo now plans to
elminate as much of that human oversight as possible going forward.
What the bloody hell could go wrong with that? THEY'VE LEARNED NOTHING.
Go the hell Waymo.
