WaymoGate and The Italian Job
The nasty WaymoGate situation in SF can't help but remind me of the
great 1969 film "The Italian Job" starring Michael Caine (not the
useless 2003 remake). A traffic control computer is sabotaged to jam
up traffic all through Turin, except for ONE secret escape route to be
used during a gold heist. Substitute brain-dead Waymo robotaxis for
confused traffic lights and you have a parallel plot. I do recommend
the film highly, especially for its legendary chase scene and very
well balanced ending.
