The real purposes of generative AI
Judging from the ad campaigns from Google and other AI firms, apparently
the real purpose of generative AI is to get "slackers" to pay the AI
firms to try fool real workers into believing the slackers aren't
slackers. In other words, trying to profit from the fools and the
fooled. Utterly unethical and totally expected. Oh yes, and convincing
people who don't know better to converse with AIs as if they were
people, not knowing that those error-prone AIs are actually far stupider
than any human being these users actually know -- and that the AIs don't
care about them at all. Not even one teeny weeny bit.
Generative AI is the absolute nadir to date of Big Tech immorality.
