DOJ's call for Google to sell off Chrome could be a disaster for users

I'll have much more to say about this later, but I want to go on the
record now as saying that DOJ's reported plan to try force Google to
sell off the Chrome browser (which of course is also an integral part
of the CrOS Chromebook operating system), would likely create a
security, privacy, and usability nightmare for users. It doesn't even
make sense for DOJ's asserted purpose of enhancing competition, given
that Google is already bleeding Search and other users to companies
like TikTok and other social-media oriented firms. A potential
disaster in the making. -L
