How Google lets users swing in the wind without their data
Google fails to understand (or just doesn't care) that a vast number
of people have a single device to access the Internet -- their phone.
And when they (and often others with multiple devices) get locked out
of their phone or Google account, through no fault of their own, and
face the nightmare of Google's horrifically inadequate account
recovery system -- which I've begged them for years to improve to no
avail, and I've offered specific proposals for this -- these users are
totally lost without their email, photos, and other data. And Google
lets them swing in the wind. Because these people just don't matter to
Google. It's that simple.
