Google and AI training abuse
It's becoming ever clearer that use of external sites' data for AI
training should require affirmative opt-in from those sites. Google
started a project to work out extensions to robots.txt related to AI,
and I signed up to participate in that discussion (I had previously
called for AI-related robots.txt extensions myself), but not a WORD
from them about that project since then. Looks like it's not going
anywhere? Time to clamp down on AI training abuse. If Google wants to
talk to me about what happened to that robots.txt project, they know
how to reach me. Yeah. -L
