In a slap in the face to users, Google says it will not fix Chrome
despite their own support page saying it is supported.
Showing a level of disdain for users that is remarkable even for
Google, Google now says they will NOT fix Chrome that has suddenly
been broken without warning (Chrome Stable 128) for older Linux
systems, despite their own support page saying those systems are
supported, with no mention of current or future deprecation, as of
this morning.
It is also worth noting that arguments suggesting one should expect
Chrome to stop working when an OS goes End Of Life (absent extended
support) are invalidated by Google's own actions. For example, they kept
updating Chrome for Windows 7 -- LONG end of life -- until relatively
quite recently, and warned of the upcoming end of support for Chrome on
Win7 long in advance of that date.
This situation is absolutely shameful.
