Google to end continuously scrolling search results (but what's the
real reason?)

Apparently Google is about to kill off the continuously scrolling
search results they introduced a few years ago and return to the
conventional page by page selection model. They say it's about user
satisfaction but I'll bet they want those cycles back for their
useless AI Overviews that are eating up their data center resources.

AND by not continuously scrolling, it will make the AI Overviews even
more prominent, because you'd have to explicitly click to move to the
next page of results that doesn't have the AIO at the top, rather than
just quickly scroll down away from them deeply into the blue links.

Devious Google, seriously devious!
