This was an absolute train wreck, and I fought against it internally at Google since I was working inside Google during part of that time. It quickly became apparent that it was a magnet for abuse, and while the integration was eventually rescinded the damage had already been done. Google must be a serious sadomasochist to go anywhere near this dark path again. - - - --Lauren-- Lauren Weinstein lauren@vortex.com (https://www.vortex.com/lauren) Lauren's Blog: https://lauren.vortex.com Mastodon: https://mastodon.laurenweinstein.org/@lauren Founder: Network Neutrality Squad: https://www.nnsquad.org PRIVACY Forum: https://www.vortex.com/privacy-info Co-Founder: People For Internet Responsibility _______________________________________________ privacy mailing list https://lists.vortex.com/mailman/listinfo/privacy
