anti-Semitic comic books

Regular readers know that I try to stay as far away from religious
issues as I possibly can. And when I do comment on such matters, I
always call them as I see them. So back in 2007, I criticized the
Anti-Defamation League for their wacky complaints about a building in
San Diego that happened to look like a swastika ( Navy to Waste $600K

Just a couple of months ago, I was critical of a billion dollar lawsuit
filed against a Facebook "Intifada" page: http://j.mp/fsCMzk [Lauren's Blog].
But events surrounding a proposal to ban circumcision (that is
currently on the ballet in San Francisco) have reached something of a
new low, with the group pushing the ban (and efforts to put a similar
ban on the ballot down here in Santa Monica) having published "comic
books" that invoke classic anti-Semitic imagery of the worst sort.
Featuring a blonde, buff "super-hero" -- "Foreskin Man" -- fighting
stereotypically-appearing evil Jews, it is unfortunately impossible
not to draw comparisons with the classic anti-Semitic propaganda of
National Socialism in 1930s Germany.
To be sure, I absolutely support the free speech rights of this group
to publish that material. In fact, the more people who see these
"comics" the better -- I think it would be very useful for voters to
have a full appreciation of what sort of group is behind the proposal.
But hey, you don't have to take my word for it. Go look for yourself,
and draw your own conclusions:
