console, Outlook email program and Windows smartphones.

Here's a look at the deal, by the numbers ...

On the rumor front, word is that Microsoft is considering a
cross-licensing agreement to permit the renaming of Skype as
"MS Avatar" ("Ms. Avatar") -- in a preemptive move to help monetize the many
expected blue screens after MS integration. The new transition slogan
is rumored to be:

"Skype and Microsoft: True blue, through and through!" (Requires
Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer 9 or Windows Phone 7.
Skype search services provided by Bing. User calls subject to
decryption and provision to U.S. Homeland Security and other law
enforcement authorities on demand. Calls and/or Instant Messages
made to, from, or within China will be censored and/or reported to
authorities in accordance with our Chinese partners' censorship,
propaganda, and Ministry of Public Security requirements.)
