Google facing hurdles in bid to provide email service to governments

More than a year after the city of L.A. awarded Google a
contract to provide email for its employees, the city
controller has launched an inquiry over delays.

"The city has asked us to meet new requirements that were not
part of the original contract and which required work to
implement in a cloud computing environment," said Google
spokesman Andrew Kovacs.
