Flickr in ethical quandary over activists' photo uploading + Administrivia

Two days after using Flickr to display photos of police officers from
Egypt's feared state security force, Hossam el-Hamalawy watched in
disbelief as they vanished, one by one, from the popular social
networking site, which he had been using since 2008.

Administrivia from Lauren:
Sometime today, the New York Times' new (and convoluted) paywall is
scheduled to rise. I will be testing to verify that NYT items linked
through my various postings continue to be accessible, as has been
implied should be possible based on the new policies as I understand
them. Note, however, that apparently even though there may be no
limit on the number of such "referrer" items you view at the Times
even without a subscription, each such view will supposedly still
count against your "20 free" views of non-referrer (site direct)
materials. If you think this policy is way more confusing than it
should be, you're right.
