I should have mentioned that the original announcement of the Facebook
"free mobile access" deals dates to last May (but was little
discussed then). A new announcement from Facebook from a week ago
notes an extension of free access (at least for 90 days) for users
of a new Facebook mobile phone app, initially through 14 carriers,
expanding soon to more (including Canada):
