Wi-Fi tethering report is correct -- the Verizon iPhone 4's Personal
Hotspot feature will pause Web data when a call is taken on the
handset."

Note that this goes beyond the intrinsic problem of standard CDMA not
being able to handle simultaneous voice and data. This points to some
other fundamental design and/or resource constraint on the device as
configured for Verizon's current network. Verizon's attempt to
conflate "dropped call rates" (which normally relate to network
capacity/coverage issues and fundamental device RF design, not to
device resource overload) seems rather problematic.
