Hi, kerberos people
I recently post the following question to the usenet group comp.protocol.kerberos :

Somebody points me to a never-seen-the-US compatible (?) des library that I could
compile on my site. But kerb5 seems to have subtle depencencies to the real mit-des library :
in src/lib/rsa-md4/md4crypto.c, one can read :
#include "../des/des_int.h" /* we cheat a bit and call it directly... */ <----- yes, but not a bit
How can I cleanly work around this ? and is there others hidden dependencies ?
What is the real dependency, just some libdes.a and des.h, or, is it deeper ?
Note that answers to the questions in the news messages are still of interest.
Thanks for any hints.
PS : I compile both on a sun and on hpux, so I am trying to devise an hp.cf file. The method is
to start with the X11 one, modify it according to the kerb5 doc, start a make world, correct the cf
file when the compilation aborts and redo the cycle. If you have some informations on the kerberos
and hpux please let me know.
