Subject: src/config/pre.in contains obsolete comments that do not in fact bear on any macos build problem one may be having

The Makefile fragment named in the subject line contains more than one comment along the lines of “needs fixing if ever used on macos”. When I encountered a `make check` problem on mac OS they seemed like an obvious starting point, but no, I can definitively state that they are not involved.
These comments turn out to date from all the way back in August of 2000 (see commit 5969630081b7eb43a4e6d4374407544174d77770), and the code to which they referred has long since been removed; that the comments were not likewise removed appears to have been an oversight.
I have yet to determine the cause of my `make check` failure and so have nothing useful to say about it, but I feel that removing these obsolete comments will at least save time and effort for other people.
Sincerely,
Gordon Steemson
