has its own "Rules of Evidence" : one for Civil cases and another (oddly)
for Criminal. What might be considered evidence in Criminal cases might
not be allowed in Civil and vise versa.
It's really difficult to get through the Law books if you don't have some
background (ie: knowing where to look). Most "decent" lawyers will point
you in the right direction, though, if you want to ask a simple question.
Good luck... if you find something applicable to your state, it might be
useful to hear of it here. I am surprised that there isn't a web page
that's dedicated to this.
