Hello Everyone,
As per IDS's request, I'm dropping everyone a brief message to introduce
myself. I'm a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a BS in Computer
Science and Engineering. After graduating a little over three years ago,
I moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Since then I have been working as a computer
administrator for AZX, Inc. which operates the Arizona Stock Exchange. I
recently subscribed to the ids mailing list to further my knowledge of
computer security for both an increasing interest in the subject as a
hobby and to enable me to assume more responsibilities in this area at work.
I look forward to reading everyone's postings, and also contributing when
I can.

The "welcome to ids" message sayed that we should make
a introduction of my self so here it is.
My name is Miguel Moura I a University student
in computer science or something like that, ... I say
his is because my course have some concepts of
enterprise managament (very little ,but some).
I am also a computer programmer in free-lance; the reason
that make me subscribe this mail list was because I am
interresting in investigate and develop some intruder
detection systems and study how intrusion is made we know
how to prevente it.
I think that a way of incrase the security of computers is
by make more safety O.S. and use A.I. in the intrusion detection
systems, Neural networks, Fuzzy logic, ...
