Just dropping an introductory note as requested. I guess I hope to see info
on 'manual' intrusion detection in here - not only id 'systems'. My interest
has been stimulated recently by virtue of having set my department up with a
Windows NT, Windows for Workgroups, and Irix network as a subnet within a
much larger net, all behind a firewall (which I'm helping to test and
configure).
My security concerns are both internal and external then.
