My name is Lara H. Baker. I am Co-founder and President of Galaxy
Computer Services, Inc., a computing and computer security engineering
firm. My background includes twenty-plus years at the Los Alamos
National Laboratory where I worked in Engineering, Intelligence, and
Computer Security Research management.
I am currently chairing the US Government's latest effort at writing a
uniform policy for the protection of classified information in Computers
and Networks. That's in addition to "managing" Galaxy's collection of
eighteen or so computing and computer security experts -- I agree with the
characterization that management is like "herding cats."
I'm looking forward to interesting exchanges with the other members of
the list.
