I work as a manager for KPMG Peat Marwick, an international accounting
and professional services firm. I work with information systems
security and auditing of computer systems.
I am interested in IDS because audit systems generate a LOT of data.
Anything which finds useful patterns from this data is obviously of
interest. I am interested in many forms of system mis-use, aside form
intrusions from outside users. These may include patterns indicative
of fraud or theft of trade secrets.
