I have recently joined this list and this e-mail is by way of =
introduction. I am a Director with Ernst & Young in Sydney, =
specialising in Technology Innovation. A component of this field is IT =
Security and security techniques. I have worked in this field =
extensively since 1988, specialising in the DEC VAX/VMS and UNIX =
environments. I have worked on UNIX since 1975 and VMS since 1979.
I am specifically interested in security techniques and I sit on the SAA =
IT/12/4 committee (this committee votes for Australia on ISO security =
standards). I am primarily interested in the practical application (and =
misapplication!) of emerging standards.
Within Ernst & Young, I have a team that specialises in 'penetration =
reviews' and our practical interest is the evolving nature of security =
breaches.
