I too am guilty of not following the new user procedure. I have been
lurking in the background for a month or so. This started with an interest
in security. It appears that I have now been given the responsibility of
securing our system. I am a sys admin for a Novell/Unix shop. My knowledge
of security is at the intro level. Up to this point I have mainly been
involved on the Novell end and am fairly new to Unix. I will need to develop
a policy that includes physical security as well as data. Any advice on
getting started would be greatly appreciated. This list is going to be a
big help to me.
