In response to the owner's request, here is a brief biography and synopsis of
my reasons for joining the list:
Name: Jesse Whyte
Job: Cadet, United States Military Academy
Interests: My primary interest is currently in firewalls, and most of my
research and reading has been in this area - with my main focus on developing
TIS's FWTK around my server trying to emphasize the transparent nature of the
firewall without compromising security(isn't everybody). In terms of IDESs, I
think that they provide a very powerful secondary defense, just as important as
the primary defense and perhaps more important in terms of ultimate protection
because a firewall offers very little protection against abuse by the internal
users.
