I just conducted a short survey, and 100% of the respondents said that
it was better to have a hacked startup script than to have confused
users. Therefore, by tomorrow both "maker" and "maker2" will set the
textStippleFilled resource correctly, at the expense of leaving
resources lying around /tmp.
