In reference to the bill as currently worded (linked from the agenda and
found at http://web.mit.edu/ua/senate/UAS42/6/hdag-survey.pdf), I'm curious
as to why the wording of the second that clause was left so vague in your
changes? In particular, I feel that "collaboration", without any sort of
qualification, can imply very different levels of involvement, depending on
who is reading it. Did you guys talk about what you want to get out of this
collaboration? It might be worth putting into the wording of the bill. Or if
you didn't want to restrict, perhaps make the senators from dining dorms and
hdag create a mission statement or set of goals at the beginning, upon which
both agree...or something to guide the senators in knowing how much they
will be involved.
Also, I'm assuming this is a non-issue, but is there at least one senator
from each of the dining dorms that has committed to being a part of this
effort? That would be more clear to me if they all were signatories of the
bill, but probably not essential. Just as long as we don't say "oh, we need
student involvement in this!" only to have no one show up.
