Hi everyone,
The Nominations Committee is looking for a student representative to the
ROTC Oversight Committee (more information below). We recently learned that
there is a position for one non-ROTC undergraduate on this committee.
Because of the specialized nature of the committee, we do not have
sufficient information from our early Fall or Spring 2010 interview process
to selected a nominee. If you are interested, or know of someone who might
be interested, please email ua-nomcomm@mit.edu as soon as possible with the
following information. We would like to include a nominee for this committee
with the slate that will appear before Senate on Monday, Oct. 25.
1. Name
2. Athena username
3. Living group(s)
4. Year
5. Major(s)
6. Phone number
7. Why do you want to serve on this committee (a few sentences)
*The charge of the ROTC Oversight Committee*: The ROTC Oversight Committee
monitors the partnership between the campus ROTC programs and MIT, working
closely with the senior MIT administrator responsible for ROTC. The
committee responds to issues as they arise
and makes recommendations for changes in policy and operational matters
where appropriate.
*Committee Meeting Times*: Next meeting is Wednesday, *November 10*, 2-3:30
pm. All other meetings are schedule for the afternoon of the second
Wednesday of the month.
