Dear Senators,

After hours of interviews and deliberation, I am proud to present the
Institute Committee Nominations Slate for 2010-2011. Before we get into the
details, I'd like to thank our Senate Reps Paul and Jonte for their critical
and careful look at the nominees, and our Exec Reps Cathy and Ankit for
lending their insight and knowledge on their experience around the
Institute. I'd also like to thank Tim for helping me with all the little
details, especially given I don't really think he knew what he was getting
himself into :) We've all learned a lot from the process and will be happy
to discuss our nominations with you at the Senate meeting this upcoming
Monday.

The slate is located online at:
http://ua.mit.edu/committees/nomcomm/nominees2010.pdf. All nominees were
notified that we will be presenting this slate to Senate. Alternates were
also contacted. We would like to have alternates approved by Senate in the
case where a nominated student cannot serve on the committee. Alternate
names will NOT be submitted to the faculty chair with the nominees. Students
not selected to serve will be notified after Senate makes their final
decisions. As the week after next is Patriot's Day weekend, I urge you to
discuss these nominations over the weekend on this list and/or by emailing
ua-nomcomm@mit.edu so we can approve the slate in a timely matter.

Thank you,
-Maggie
