FYI. MassCPR received $2600 from LEF. Under the terms of the bill, the
bill now has no effect. (Or requires that MIT-EMS pay the UA $1400 or
something, but I have no intention of following that interpretation
unless somebody tries to make me. It might make sense for Mike to veto
it just to avoid the question...)

Dear LEF/ARCADE applicants,
Allocations for the spring 2010 cycle of LEF and ARCADE have been
finalized and are posted at
http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/pdf/LEF-ARCADE/SPR10.pdf. This is also
linked from the front page of our website: http://web.mit.edu/asa. We
moved some events from LEF into ARCADE so be sure to check both lists for
your group's event.
More instructions for events that received funding:
1. Review, sign and return a printed copy of your Funding Contract by
April 7 to SAO (c/o Paul Spangle or Alicia Erwin). These are available
here: http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/funding/contracts.html. This is a
FIRM deadline.
2. As per the contract, you are required to set up at least 1 meeting
with SAO staff to discuss the planning of your funded event. Keep in mind
that most LEF/ARCADE events need to be registered given their size.
3. I would also like to highlight a few of the other terms of the
contract. In particular, you are asked to register your event on
events.mit.edu at least two weeks in advance of the event. Also, all
promotional material should indicate "Sponsored by LEF" or "Sponsored
by ARCADE". You will be asked to verify these in the post-event
report.
4. The LEF/ARCADE policy is to transfer funds only after a post-event
report is submitted to and reviewed by the ASA Treasurer to ensure
adherence to the original application. Reports should be emailed to
asa-treasurer@mit.edu. Instructions, templates, and examples are
available at http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/post-event-report.html.
Reports for this funding cycle are due within 30 days of the event
date.
5. Pay close attention to the "notes" section of the funding
contracts. This provides more information on our decision, and in
some cases, provides restrictions on how your money can be used. Some
of you have additionally been emailed on an individual basis with more
information about your allocation. If you have any questions about
the conditions of your contract please ask now, because you will be
held to these conditions.
Please don't hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Nicole Teague
ASA Treasurer
LEF/ARCADE Chair
