Hi Edner,
If I'm not mistaken, the voting starts tonight at midnight, so if you want
to run for senate, just take a look at the rules (
http://web.mit.edu/elections), and e-mail your dorm list
(nh-forum@mit.edu<new-house@mit.edu>)
so they know they can write you in.
If you don't become a senator, there are other ways to get involved. As an
undergraduate student, you are a member of the UA. This means you can
attend Senate meetings. You won't have a vote if you're not a Senator, but
you can still speak and be involved. There are also several UA committees
you can get involved in if you're interested in particular issues. For
example, the UA Committee on Student Life is always looking for more people
who want to positively impact the lives of students on campus. You can
apply for CSL (or any other UA committee) here: http://ua.mit.edu/join/
Hope this helps,
hwkns
