Hi everyone,
Friendly remember that legislation to be presented at Monday's Senate
meeting is due Friday night. I have already received one bill from Tim
Jenks and Sammi about something that was discussed on retreat; I will be
posting that bill shortly, and I hope to see more.
Also, don't forget to plan ways to use the Senator Constituency Fund. The
Fund currently has $750 for *you* to use on behalf of your living group,
either to throw events (like a "meet your Senator" study break) or help with
capital expenditures (like a bulletin board or suggestion box)
Please send requests for funding to ua-senate-officers@mit.edu -- Tim and I
will be happy to offer advice on budgeting and planning. As a rough
guideline, try to keep your requests within $50-$75 per Senator. If you
exhaust the $750 currently allocated, you can request additional monies from
either the Senate Discretionary or the Reserve, as appropriate.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has been sending out minutes, summaries,
and/or agendas to their living groups! I believe that Liz is still working
on Monday's minutes; hopefully they will be available for review by tonight.
Best,
Paul
