Hi Senate,
I have to agree that the Whereas clause in this bill needs to be chan=
ged. The idea one would get after reading this is bill is that any time the=
Senate disagrees with Jud Board, it can simply bypass its decision, which =
defeats the purpose of the Jud Board and is certainly the wrong direction t=
o go. I would recommend replacing the Whereas clauses by repeating what you=
said tonight, such as: "Whereas it is far more efficient for Senate to del=
egate its financial authority in certain matters; Whereas it is not a produ=
ctive use of the Senate's time to micromanage and debate certain matters" I=
feel like "certain matters" should be replaced and be more specific, but I=
feel like specifying for the reallocation of funds of student groups is to=
o specific and geared too much towards a bill that may or may not be passed=
. I just feel that it is important that the current Whereas clause be chang=
ed.=20
