Hey guys,
I mentioned in Senate the Baker Foundation's new program to fund
inter-living-group events. If you could forward the following link to your
constituents, that would be great. The goal of the program is to promote
cross-campus relationships and/or to help fund cool events between living
groups. Details of the program can be found below and also on the page I'm
about to link to.
Link: bakerfoundation.mit.edu/bfmixers
Details:
- The Baker Foundation will fund an event with 2-4 living groups
inclusive.
- The Baker Foundation will provide 1.5 times the contributions of the
involved living groups up to $150, $225, and $300 for two-, three-, and
four-living-group events respectively. This works out to supplementing up
to $50 from each group. So for example, a three-living-group event could
have $375 for an event, with $50 from each group and $225 from the Baker
Foundation.
- This program was designed with living groups on the order of a hall,
wing, or fraternity in mind (vs. an entire dorm), but there isn't a formal
restriction on living-group size or definition.
- If two of the living groups involved are Greek, there must be at least
one additional non-Greek living group.
- As usual, MIT does not reimburse tax or alcohol.
Let me know if you have any questions, concerns, etc.
Betsy
