respond asap.
As for funding, I would have to agree that more funding is probably a good
idea, but I didn't want to just take from Reserve without everyone's input.

Hey everyone,

Some comments/questions -

Weekend Boston Dayime:
Any more details on the possibility of getting other people to help support=
this? =A0General idea of how much support can be expected? =A0Have groups =
besides IFC been approached? =A0(for reference last semester there was a 2:=
1 split between IFC and the UA, with the UA giving $5k)

Particularly, has Parking & Transportation been asked about financing (=
really, not charging for) part of it? =A0Somewhat relatedly, is this cheape=
r than working with a provider besides Parking & Transportation? (I get=
that they make some things easier and it may be otherwise enabling to use =
them, but I'd like to know if/how this affects the cost)

Do we have data on the project from last semester? =A012k is a lot of money=
, and 5k is a fair bit too, so it'd be good to know what we're gett=
ing for it. =A0I would be interested in overall ridership numbers as well a=
s whether there are any clear differences based on time (which could inform=
start/end times and frequency).

Student group funding/pulling from reserve:
I think that more money needs to be going to student group funding and we a=
ren't otherwise pulling from reserve, so I think we should take 10 to 3=
0k from reserve for this.

Why:
- Accounting for over-allocation percentage, the proposed number for this s=
emester (121k) is 52k and 37k less than the preceeding semesters
- Not accounting for over-allocation percentage, the proposed number (86k) =
is less than at least the previous 7 semesters budgets
- Looking at allocations for this semester: 54k was given for the
July-September cycle and there is about $160k in requests for the October-D=
ecember cycle. =A0(note: the amount finboard allocates for a cycle is based=
on the amount in the previous semester's budget given timing constrain=
ts, so this doesn't directly affect the Oct-Dec cyle)

How much:
My suggestion would be to take 30k, but even 10 or 20k would be very useful=
. =A0After consdering over-allocation, 30k from reserve would mean 163k wou=
ld be available for allocations, which seems much more reasonable compared =
to the past 2 semesters and current requests.
