Hi, everyone:

Please find linked below the agenda for 42 UAS 11. The Chairman of the
Corporation, John Reed '61, SM '65, will be our guest speaker on Monday;
this will be his first visit to Senate since his election in June 2010. I
strongly encourage Senators to inform their constituents about the
importance of this meeting and invite those who have not yet made it to a
Senate meeting this year to join us for the first hour on Monday.

Meeting Agenda: http://web.mit.edu/ua/senate/UAS42/agendas/2011-02-28.pdf

Following the hour-long session with our guest speaker, the UA student
representatives from the Committee on Race & Diversity (CRD) and the
Corporation Joint Advisory Committee (CJAC) on Institute-wide Affairs will
each hold a brief Q&A session on a topic relevant to their committee. The
remainder of the meeting will be devoted to the confirmation of nominees fo=
r
the UA Finance Board, standard orders of business, the election of the Vice
Speaker, and this week's legislation. I have not received confirmation of
the text for 42 UAS 11.1, and as for 42 UAS 10, I will pull this agenda ite=
m
if it is not officially submitted by 7:30pm tomorrow.

Please let me know if you have any questions. As always, I will be hosting
my office hours on Sunday evening from 8:00pm to 10:00pm in the UA Office
(W20-401)--feel free to drop by if you'd like to speak with me in person.

Thanks,
Jont=E9 Craighead
