Dear UA:
My partner, Kevin, and I are both Juniors at MIT studying EECS. We, like
many students, are very discontent with the current and even more so the new
Dining Plan.
We want to propose a better solution by bringing foodtrucks as portable
restaurants to our dorms. Using our online platform, students can send
orders to local foodtrucks from anywhere on campus and enjoy Groupon-like
discounts on their food by geographically aggregating their orders in real
time with others nearby.
We're launching a one week pilot program starting next Wednesday on West
Campus to test out the viability of such a model for MIT. We have recruited
Momogoose, one of the foodtruck leaders in Boston/Cambridge, to participate
in our test run. From that Wednesday to the next, Momogoose will offer a
steeply discounted menu (~$5/entree) from 6pm to 1am every weekday.
We want to bring an entire food market to the MIT dorms, improve the quality
of our food and lower the price through a free competitive market.
Please give us your feedback and thoughts on our proposal so we can orient
our position to serve our student body even better.

Sincerely yours,
Ray and Kevin
