There is no guest speaker, but we have plenty of business to address at Monday's meeting. http://web.mit.edu/ua/senate/UAS42/agendas/2011-02-07.pdf Elections & confirmation procedures for officers and committee chairs are first along with the State of the UA address. Responding to requests from Senators over IAP and on the self-evaluation, I will begin requesting that = a few committee chairs give short reports on their committee's progress at each meeting. This, along with regular Senator participation on committees, should help keep Senate in the loop on the work of the committees and enabl= e us to operate in an oversight capacity. The brief discussion on orientation is an opportunity for us to address orientation in an open way before reviewing legislation and making further decisions about the issue. We can skip this agenda item on Monday if it is no longer necessary. I have not received the legislation for orientation or FinBoard policy yet; I will link them once they have been submitted. Any agenda items that have not been submitted by tomorrow (Sunday) at 7:30pm will be removed in the interest of transparency. Please let me know if you have any questions.
