Hello,
I'm a teacher at Fenway High School in Boston Public Schools, and I'm also
the advisor for our school's student government. Every year we do a student
government retreat, where we meet as a group off-campus, usually at one of
the local colleges. I'm wondering if you think it might be possible to use
a space at MIT this year (we would only need one room big enough for 24
students), and if you would be willing to possibly talk to the students for
part of the time we are there. We have events and activities to plan for
our own school, which is what we normally use the retreat for, but I think
it would also be valuable for the students to get a sense of what student
government is like at the college level.
At this point we are planning our retreat for either October 21st or 28th.
Let me know if you might be able to help or could at the very least steer us
in the right direction to try to use a classroom at MIT.
