Hi everyone,
Tonight Senate passed 14 UAS
14.1<http://web.mit.edu/ua/senate/UAS42/14/restructuring-committee.pdf>,
tasked with re-examining the structure of the UA and student government at
MIT. We'll be looking a lot at
14.2<http://web.mit.edu/ua/senate/UAS42/14/A1-%20Constitutional%20Proposal%20and%20Implementation%20Plan.pdf>
(proposal
here)<http://web.mit.edu/ua/senate/UAS42/14/A1-%20Constitutional%20Proposal%20and%20Implementation%20Plan.pdf>also,
and starting with that at the first meeting.

If you're interested in serving on this committee, I will be holding
interviews for the membership of this committee tomorrow(Tuesday) night in
the UA office starting at 8 pm. There are no formal time slots, I'll just
be having a chat with interested parties throughout the night (I anticipate
being there for at least 2-3 hours). If you really can't make it during
that time but are still interested, let me know.

If I get a large number of people interested, I won't be able to let
everyone on the committee. I hope to keep this committee efficient, yet
thorough. Meetings will be open to the public and I highly anticipate
letting anyone speak at the meetings, up to the extreme point where
discussion is not productive. I'm going to try to get this done in a week
since that's what I was tasked to do, but if the committee feels they
absolutely need more time, I'll try to be flexible.

I anticipate meeting quite often over the next week, in the evenings,
starting Wednesday night. Tenative (definitely subject to modifications)
schedule would be:
Wednesday 8 p.m.
Friday 4 or 5 p.m.
Saturday afternoon
Sunday afternoon

Feel free to contact me if you want more information, and forward it to
anyone who may be interested that I may have missed.
